Acrylic Painting Canvas
Do you have leftover paint from a project? Brush it on a blank canvas so you'll be that much more ready for your next painting session! I hate waste, so I love the idea of starting a painting without having to stare at the blank, whiteness that can be a creativity crusher. I've even added some shimmery gold on this one! I'm entered into the Floriography design challenge at Spoonflower! You can vote for three designs. I entered this one! ... View the Post
Mixed Media Hummingbird
I painted this hummingbird in watercolor, then added pastels on top for texture and opacity. Bird are always a favorite to paint. There is such a variety in colors and shapes! This little bird will make its way into a pattern eventually! Mixed media is my go-to, as I love to incorporate the strenths of each medium. It's a blessing to be able to create, even on a smaller scale. I love the lighter colors and touches of green. I put my hummingbird on some of my oil pastel ... View the Post
Watercolor Christmas Pudding
This was a quick (as in very quick) Inktober drawing in my art journal. Though far from great, it was fun. Doing these quick sketches can prompt you to paint other things, so don't focus on the negatives! :) Did you grab your free paper from yesterday? Check out below! ... View the Post
Oil Pastel Poinsettia Wreath & Free Paper!

Here, I have used Strathmore Toned Tan paper, which is great paper for any medium not heavily reliant on water. CLICK HERE to go to my Patreon page to get your FREE Seamless Pattern that I made with this wreath. Give my page a follow! :) There will be an attachment. Click on that to download the design. ... Watercolor Christmas Berries & Paper Collection
We have had our first significant (but still small) snowfall here, so the autumn vibes are morphing into Christmas ones. Here are some watercolor berries in a loose style. I've created a collection using these that can be purchased HERE. The sheets are double-sided and thinner than cardstock, making them perfect for card backgrounds, envelopes, and journals like a December daily. Examples below! Use an art journal! They really are a great way to create without pressure or for ... View the Post
