Storybook App Book Illustration
I have been doing a lot of digital painting lately, creating designs and collections for seamless patterns and textiles at Spoonflower and Raspberry Creek Fabrics. I love using the Sketchbook app. Even the free version is amazing! My YouTube channel @cynthiamaynard has several process videos on drawing various things. Of course, I am always drawing and painting with oil pastels, watercolor and gouache! We've had a lot of sickness at our house, so getting down to the studio is harder on some ... View the Post

(WATERCOLOR BRUSHES) Here are some examples from Spoonflower: napkins & wallpaper! ... View the Post

You can frame it behind glass for the best protection from smudging and dust. Oil pastel never completely dries, so be careful not to smudge. :) I love the lime with the blue! ... View the Post
Random Watercolor Doodles
There are some days that there is simply no plan, but to doodle and explore ideas. I use random bits of leftover watercolor paper or my art journal, then just draw whatever pops into my head. On this day, it was a lady and vintage collars with Art Philosophy Vintage Pastels palette. Also, a swan plantern in HIMI gouache. I did end up using them in a surface pattern! It will eventually show up in a seamless pattern collection. You can get it now in fabric, home decor, and wallpaper! ... View the Post
