Heat Embossing on a Canvas

Embossing powders are a magical art supply. They transform into melted goodness and texture. I have used them many times in my papercrafting projects. Recently, I was looking at an unfinished canvas and decided to use up some extra texture paste. Then, I had the thought to sprinkle some embossing powder on top of the paste. Ink and Wash Art ~ Buildings

Ink and wash is a great style of art when you want to create without too much pressure. The loose style lends itself to imperfections. I start with a black pen, in a sketchy style. This gives the suggestion of objects and places, without drawing and connecting every line. Then, I create a watercolor wash in layers. I created new design (HERE) papers from these art journal pages. I used Golden acrylic paint with acrylic inks, a stencil, and texture crackle paste.
