Loose florals are always a great art exercise. They are very forgiving and allow for experimenting. True to form, I have painted in watercolor first, then added colored pencils for texture. The old-school feather, dip pens are so lovely! I especially like the mixture of textures between the metal and the soft feathers. I tried to capture the idea of that with this little painting.
