Gouache is such a great medium. It takes the best of watercolor with the best of acrylic and then adds a lovely matte finish! There are expensive gouaches, but for the digital work that I do, I enjoy using the HIMI gouache sets. Below, are pictures of several mini paintings. I have used most of them in pattern designs already! The rich colors and layering capability makes gouache a great choice if you want bolder color and texture.
