Ink and wash is a great style of art when you want to create without too much pressure. The loose style lends itself to imperfections. I start with a black pen, in a sketchy style. This gives the suggestion of objects and places, without drawing and connecting every line. Then, I create a watercolor wash in layers. You could leave it there, but I often reach for my colored pencils for a bit more definition and texture. This is a great method for art sketchbooks when traveling, when you don’t have much time to capture your subject.
