Until around 2016, I thought that I couldn’t paint or draw. As a kid, I could only draw clothes, houses, and horse heads to the right. I am still learning and growing (and this horse head is certainly quite basic), but becoming a paid artist was a child’s dream. I love my art journal, where I can try ideas without the pressure. Also, on this particular day, I think I was missing my horse who passed away a few years ago.
I used Tombow brush markers, colored pencils, and my white Posca paint pen to create this guy. He is simple, and almost child-like, but the exercise of creativity is always a means of growth and benefit.
