Another Christmas is approaching. I’m so glad that the Savior, Jesus, came to die for us all! He is the light of the world, and this dark world really does need light. Here is an oil pastel painting of a candle. I first drew the underpainting with colored pencils to save layers. Creamy pastels can be harder to layer, so creating an underpainting not only saves the pastels, but also helps block in the colors and provide some shading.
