This painting represents what many are wanting in life, a peaceful place to exist, basking in the beauty of creation. Are you with me? 🙂 I love lakes and oceans, sunrises and sunsets, and a quiet life. The modern world has too much hustle and bustle with little profit in return. I wonder how much of our life could be edited to make room for the truly important things?
I’m using toned paper and sketching with my colored pencils. It helps to block in large amounts of color, which starts to fill in the tooth of the paper, making an easier job of layering the oil pastels. Check out the step-by-step photos below!
