We just returned from spending a week in Miami, where the temperatures were in the upper 70s. Now, it is 27 degrees as I write this. Yikes! I thought this winter penguin would be appropriate. 🙂 I love his matching sweater and hat. Even the penguins would be cold in my state! 🙂
I used colored pencils for the underpainting and my oil pastels on top for creamy texture. I love using Strathmore’s toned tan paper with oil pastels! It doesn’t seep through, and the colored paper sets off the painting nicely.
