I love old-fashioned people and things. 🙂 A picture of a vintage handmade stitched doll inspired this painting (I have a short YouTube video below). There is something special about handmade things that no “big box” store can replicate. Even the little “mistakes” and inconsistencies give it the human touch.
I mostly used my Paul Rubens Haiya oil pastels on toned tan paper. Adding Sennelier iridescent gold gives the finishing touches some extra shimmer! My YouTube channel has a ton of oil pastel painting videos, if you need some inspiration or tips. 🙂
