You often hear me mention Strathmore’s Toned Tan Paper, because it is among my favorite art supplies. Strathmore also makes a Toned Gray paper! I don’t use it as much as the tan because I tend to work in warmer colors more often than not, but it is also great to use. Here are a couple of oil pastel paintings that I did several months ago (and never were published). This paper can hold a lot of media, so long as the water content isn’t overwhelming. Creamy pastels, gouache, and acrylics are perfect for this paper!
