Starting with a watercolor wash to block in the background, I then began to draw in the tower of the bridge. This was inspired by a beautiful photograph in a magazine. I added flowers and bushes along the bank. The oil pastels layer wonderfully on the watercolor background. This was all done on regular watercolor paper.
