Watercolor with Neutrals Palette & Video
I grabbed my Jane Davenport neutrals palette and created a colorful blob in my watercolor art journal. Sometimes, that is all I feel like doing when my brain is a creative mush. :) Once I did that, I saw a person! I then painted this girl. It was fun, and encouraging to know that just putting blobs of color down on paper can inspire something! VIDEO AT THE END OF THE POST. I added Inktense pencils and my white Posca paint pen for a few details. This Jane davenport palette has some great ... View the Post
Card Making Inspiration

You can't always control what the paint will do, but you can get unique results! My little bee was painted with acrylic markers and a shimmer pen from ... View the Post

I'm not sure that this wonky house would structurally withstand the test of time, but it would be fun to live in nevertheless. :) I sketched it out with a ink pen, then painted with Tombow Dual Brush Markers. They are such a versatile art supply! Check out the video! ... View the Post
Oil Pastel Bird Painting on Vintage Paper
This paper, which has a vintage coloring and textured surface, is very interesting to use for painting. It is great for oil pastels, gouache, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and minimal watercolor. Watercolors soak in pretty quickly, so I would only use them minimally and in conjunction with other media. I love painting birds! This little cutie is mostly colored pencil and oil pastels. There is a very small amount of watercolor for blending purposes. It would be lovely to frame behind glass. ... View the Post
