I have always loved the water. It is powerful and peaceful at the same time. Though this piece has a bit of bleeding and a tear, I still love it! Soft pastels are so easy to use and leave wonderful texture! Below are some of the steps to achieve this end. Of course, you can use pastel paper, but I have found that decent watercolor paper also provides great "tooth" for the pastels. ... View the Post
Freshly Milled Lemon Poppyseed Muffins & Video
I am still very new in the freshly milled flour journey, but it has been quite eye opening so far! I got my mill and some whole wheat berries (hard and soft) while I was waiting for my Azure order to come. I decided to start with a non-yeasted bread, as those tend to be less finicky. I made these Lemon Poppyseed Muffins, and they were amazing! AZURE STANDARD HERE! As a family with sensitivites and allergies, my own poor health, and just a love of wholesome food, I am looking ... Then I added layers and layers of soft pastels. I still feel like it isn't finished, but sometimes you have to step back for a while ... View the Post

Bread Machine Strawberry-Banana Bread & Video
This bread is a little different in that it has a ripe banana and jam kneaded into it. The taste is lovely, and has just the slightest bit of sweetness, which still makes this loaf great for some kinds of sandwiches. A Monte Cristo would be great! The video comes out at 5:00 pm EST on my YouTube channel! ... View the Post
