The Eileen Hull Sizzix Passport Journal is still one of my favorites. It's easy to assemble and a great size! I used Sizzix mat board to cut out the pieces, then covered them in a shimmery green-gold paint. Then, I used gouache and acrylic paint to paint the florals. I love how bright and cheerful it is for spring. It's best to paint before assembly. It only needs to be adhered to the spine. Use some strong glue or double-sided tape! The Amazing Stabilo Pencil & Video
A black Stabilo pencil (they do make them in other colors), is an inexpensive tool for drawings, or adding to mixed media canvas art and collage. It's like a powerful watercolor pencil! Mixed Media Blue Flower & Video
I drew this flower on watercolor paper. I used various inks, and layered the color with the wet-on-wet method. Once everything was dry, I drew over the design again with a waterproof black pen and Posca acrylic paint pens.
