Here are a bunch of flowers and greenery I painted in acrylic as I was experimenting on Strathmore’s Toned Tan paper. The colors really pop on the tan, and I love the little flecks of fibers that keep the background from feeling flat.

Gouache would be another great option for this paper, as you don’t need a lot of water.

Then, put them all together in a cluster and make a pattern! You can always use small, individual paintings.
