Being a homeschooler that goes year-round, back to school doesn’t start until the end of September for us. We take a few weeks off and get back at it again. That way, things are more leisurely through the year without the pressure of having to end in June. They retain a lot more that way, which enables them to spend less time reviewing.
With back to school supplies in abundance, I look for things I can change up and alter for gifts or just to make things a little prettier!
Case in point: composition notebooks. They are kind of, well, ugly in a way. I found a mini one, which was so cute! Why is it that things are cuter in mini versions? Anyway, I wanted to give it a face lift with my Stampin’ Up holiday papers, tags framelit dies and some washi tape from Playful Palette. Throw on some heat embossing and it’s dressed and ready to hold notes for that next novel inspiration or homework assignments.
It’s the perfect size to pop into a purse to jot down notes, or it would make a great stocking stuffer. There are many reasons to love a cute mini notebook!
