These Strathmore postcards are great for a quick painting and sending a note to a friend! I used a couple of colors from my Prima Marketing Art Philosophy Vintage Pastels for the soft purples and blues. I dropped in my favorite Winsor & Newton Gold. It’s so shimmery!

You can use a fixative to protect the watercolor in the mail. You can also use a clear gesso if you are careful and the painting is completely dry. This was an easy, loose, wet-on-wet technique. Try it out! 🙂
